1.The best way to describe my style is ever changing. The more I learn, the more there is out there to love.
2. I couldn't live without my drafting scale. It's a little like a security blanket for me. Even when I change to a clutch bag in the evening, it somehow makes it out of the house under my arm- even if it's hanging out of either side of the bag. There's one or two in each car, every room in the house, in every drawer...
3. My favorite thing in my closet at the moment is my Michael Stars cream cardigan. I tend to be on an eternal search for "the perfect airplane sweater/ shawl/ throw/thingie."
4. My advice for achieving happiness is to surround yourself with the people and things you love. Even after an awful day, having Scott next me, with our Yorkie Floyd between us and our books all around us, in any of the homes we've created together in our 12 years is what makes all of the hard work worthwhile.
5. This week my guilty pleasure has been a manicure. My hands are always a mess- from paint to adhesives, every project I work on tends to leave it's mark on my little paws- so it always feels like a waste of money to have a professional do it when they'll be ruined within 24 hours. Not to mention sitting still for a half an hour- too much to do!!! But I was having a princess moment this week...
6. Right now I am so into French Industrial Design. Oh, and the Genius feature in iTunes that creates mixes for you based on a single song selection- how does it know?
7. My ideal day would include waking up super early without an alarm (this is fantasy world here!). After coffee-Kona coffee that is-Scott and I hit up a flea market, and every vendor gives me a great deal. Once we drop our loot off at home, Scott and I jump on our bikes, with Floyd in the basket and do a pier to pier ride, and then up to Abbott Kinney to hit Equator Books- they also give me mind bogglingly good deals on art books in this dream. After that, breakfast at the French Market Cafe- a doggie friendly spot- and of course more coffee. The Larry Sanders Show ran for 10 more seasons in this fantasy world, and we have the box set to settle in and watch when we get home to a perfectly clean and organized house- thank you fantasy world fairies! Oh- and the phone didn't ring once all day...
Bonus question:
When I was 15 I was not as cool as I am at 31.
