1. You recently joined the cast of the#1 show on daytime, The Young & the Restless after a successful run on The Bold & the Beautiful. Since you’re playing the same handsome bad guy, Deacon Sharpe what naughty tricks were you up to the first week on the show? After getting my mother-in-law pregnant on The Bold & the Beautiful, I continued my bad boy streak on Y & R and my character slept with two different women the first week I was on the show. My character happens to be morally challenged.
2. Besides your acting career you enjoy stepping on stage and cracking jokes. What lead you to comedy? When I was 15, I used to sneak into a comedy club and was riveted by Bill Maher and Dom Irrera. I was bitten by the bug and now try to perform stand-up whenever I can fit it in. My next gig is the Improv in Irvine, Ca on December 9th.
3. You obviously have a love for fashion. I always see you in stylish clothes including the Gucci belt and sport jacket you’re wearing now. How would you define your style? I’m a suit guy and I like to shop for good clothes. I spent 14 months in Italy shooting a movie and being on the Italian version of Dancing with the Stars and that lead to a love of clothes. I’m a big fan of Gucci and Roberto Cavalli. My go to item in my wardrobe would be a long black coat worn on a crisp fall day.
4. Best father and daughter date? We like to go to Loew’s Hardware and play with power tools. Just kidding. Actually my daughter Simone loves trips to Color Me Mine for an afternoon of painting pottery. And we love going to the movies.
5.Have a little down time? I’m an absolute Cinephile. I love going to a matinee when I’m not working. My daughter Simone shares my passion for movies. And surprisingly she and I are both horror film fans.
6.Best place to truly get away and relax? Bora Bora and Sardinia
7. You and I both volunteer for The Rescue Train, which is an animal rescue organization and we both have rescue dogs. I have two dogs and you mentioned you’d love to adopt a second dog. I would love to adopt a second dog, but it’s a big responsibility and with my schedule it would be unfair to the dogs. I see so many people in the entertainment industry who carry their tiny dogs in their purses and it’s sad that they see them as an accessory. My opinion is that if you can’t give them love and attention you shouldn’t adopt. So for now I’m a one dog guy.
