1. Someone once dared me to write motivational speeches for corporations when I graduated from college.  I was suspicious of corporations, I had no motivation, and my boss demanded I study Goebbels, Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda.  Which tells you a little bit about my boss.  

2. The best gift I have ever received would be my two boys: endless fun.

3. When I was 15, I was sitting on a couch at a wedding reception in Paris, pleading with a 22-year-old Canadian blonde that sleeping with me would not be like sleeping with one of her pimply little brother’s 15-year-old friends.

4. Lamest advice I ever received _ “Here…” (From a Mephistophelean teenager smoking a joint in my house when I was in the second grade.)

5. Wish I had more time
to play team sports.  

6. This week my guilty pleasure has been
eating cinnamon-raisin-custard snails from Gristede’s in the afternoons—instead of playing team sports.

7. On my bucket list is feeling complete forgiveness – of myself, of course; but also for all the people I have justifiably vilified over the years.

1. The signature elements to my looks are sweet meets street. Every good girl needs a ‘lil edge.

2. This week my guilty pleasure has been
the same as every week. Playing on my crackberry.

3. My favorite thing in my closet at the moment is
my steel heeled stilettos that make my hips come outta nowhere.

4. If I got to swap jobs for a month, my character fantasy would be
to travel with Anthony Bourdain. I’d add fashion to his flave.

5. When my husband and I aren’t enjoying our stylish life in LA,
we’re in Pennsylvania. We love to act up in dive bars and I admit to sporting FLEECE LINED CROCS.:)

6. I’m trying to make a small change by giving without getting back.

7. I couldn't live without my faith in God.

1. Someone once dared me to
go skydiving. As long as the wings are attached and the engines are turning, I ain’t jumpin’.


2. The story that moved me the most
was covering the famine and strife in Somalia during the 90’s.  Sadly things there haven’t gotten any better.


3. After all the stories I’ve covered, I think the most important change the world needs is National “Time Out” days. There’s too much anger out there. Maybe we’d be better off if we had to all stand in the corner in the heat of big social and political debates.


4. Lamest advice I ever received _
A former financial advisor convinced me I could do well by investing in feature films.  Never saw that money again, but I think you can still rent the films on Netflix.


5. Wish I had more time to
hook up with a jazz trio and play gigs around town with my bass.


6. This week my guilty pleasure has been
double “shack burger” and camel shake at Shake Shack in New York


7. On my bucket list is to learn to speak another language. And so I just started Italian lessons.
