I’m afraid this is quite simply incorrect information. Playtex should know better than to put their name on anything that promotes “Plus Five” or did they not learn their lesson from the Busts For Justice campaign and subsequent focus group last year? https://busts4justice.com/2011/09/30/the-war-on-plus-four-operation-playtex-mission-accomplished/
Please stop promoting adding four, five and in this video’s case SIX inches to your band size - it is the biggest reason women are in the wrong bra. Your band take 90% of your breasts’ weight so it needs to be snug. Measure your band size and round up ONE inch if it’s odd and leave it alone if it’s even. That’s your band size. Tiny bands and big cup bras exist and make women feel and look amazing.

Hi Claire,
You obviously have experience and knowledge regarding bra fit, and I certainly appreciate your passion for helping women find the right bra for them. I share that same passion, but we simply have different approaches. And since bras fit people differently, applying different types of advice makes sense. While some people prefer a snug-fitting bra, women shopping for a bra that doesn’t stretch may need to add inches in order to maximize comfort. The video is just one approach among many, simply a guide & one approach to self-fitting. As a fashion director and stylist for 20 years I have worked with and styled hundreds of women and what’s important is that the women I work with walk away happy and confident. I have shared your concerns with Playtex.
