My Beauty Routine. A Peek in my Vanity.

Covering both beauty and fashion means I try lots of products and look at lots of clothes. Which leads to being asked many times about my favorite beauty products and designers.

We recently moved into a new house which means new places to put my beauty supplies and new tricks for organization. I’m excited to have more drawers, cabinets and storage. Here’s a peek at just two of my beauty cabinets.

These are my two go-to places every morning and night.

Filled with many of my favorites from Super by Dr. Nicholas Perricone (GetSuper.com) and Perricone MD (Perriconemd.com) products like Sun Kissed and Cold Plasma to Moisturizing Activator and 3 Minute Miracle (a genius product that let’s me skip regular pricey facials). I switch my routine based on my skin’s needs, which can happen monthly due to weather, stress and travel. The Clarisonic has helped me avoid the flaky skin that can happen in winter and if you haven’t tried them, Brushpicks are brilliant for a quick teeth cleaning. I keep a small tube of them in my bag at all times. And while I have an array of nail polish colors from Essie in another drawer, I keep my go-to colors like pale pinks for my fingers and deeper tones for my toes, handy for when I’m running out the door to the salon or to pack in my suitcase.

And with cabinets below my sink I had to come up with ways to see all my products and reach them easily. Solution? Real Simple organizers from Bed, Bath and Beyond. They were meant for the office, but they work well in my bathroom. Cups and apothecary glassware keep my brushes, mascaras, eye shadows and lip glosses tidy, while the sections in the “box” keep it all compartmentalized. This box slides like a drawer making it easy for me to see what I have and get to it each morning without being messy. Each brush performs a job whether it be applying concealer, powder or blush. And some of my must have cosmetics include NYX and Dior mascara, Laura Mercier loose powder, Benefit and Origins concealers, Urban Decay All Nighter for long TV shoot days, blush from Makeup For Ever and Lorac plus plenty of eyeshadow choices from Shu Uemura, Bobbi Brown and Sue Devitt.
